Fair questions

Does the rent go through you?

No. Tenants pay you directly, by bank transfer, cash or however you agree. You record the payment in Rentap. We never hold or touch your money.

Do I need a card to start?

No. 1 month free, no card needed. Add a card during your trial and get 1 more month free. Then £2 a room a month. You pay for the number of rooms you choose. If you don't add a card, we never charge you: your account pauses when the trial ends and your data is kept for 12 months.

I only have one house. Is this overkill?

It was built for you. A five-room house is £10 a month, and most landlords set up a house in an evening.

What do my tenants see?

Only their own. Tenants you invite can sign in on the web to see their own rent and payments and to report issues. They use Rentap free.

Where is our data kept?

On servers in London, under UK GDPR. Export everything, any time, in a format your accountant will recognise.

Is this legal advice?

No. Our templates and deadlines are being reviewed by a solicitor before launch, but you remain responsible for your tenancies. If something is unusual, take advice.
